We have moved to 5215 Walkup Rd in Crystal Lake (Formally Walkup Heritage Farm and Gardens). After 3 years of having a farms stand on Country Club Rd in Woodstock, we opened a farm store at this historic location to sell our fruit, vegetables and eggs. We are looking to expand our selection of items available to you for sale as we continue to grow. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you this summer.
Our location is across the street from Veterans Acres Park which boasts a variety of outdoor athletic fields and recreational areas including restrooms, two picnic shelters, a playground, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, Mary Peacock softball field used by the Girls Softball Association, Frank Repp baseball field used by Babe Ruth Baseball League, sled hills, Acorn Alley splash pad, walking paths, boardwalk and fishing pier.
The home at the farm was built 1856 out of cobblestones hauled 40 miles from the shores of Lake Michigan in oxcarts. The farm itself dates from 1835 which is one of the oldest in the county and we are thrilled to have an opportunity to continue the farming tradition just a ½ mile from downtown Crystal Lake.
Strawberries will be available at the end of July and continue through October. As the timing always depends on mother nature, it is best to visit our Facebook page to confirm availability.
CLOSED FOR SEASON
Feel free to message us for eggs, honey, jam throughout the year.
